Creative Minds Early Learning Center’s Story

Founded in January 1999 by Maura Sheehy Costello and Erica Jussaume, Creative Minds Early Learning Center is a privately owned and operated program rooted in a commitment to high-quality early education. The first location opened at 1385 Lakeview Avenue in Dracut, Massachusetts, serving children from infancy through preschool. Rapid growth and strong community support soon led to the opening of a second Dracut location at 920 Methuen Street, expanding services to include children from infancy through school age.

In January 2015, Creative Minds continued to grow with the opening of an additional location at 469 Nashua Road in Dracut, offering programs for preschool and school-age children. Today, Creative Minds Early Learning Centers proudly serve children from infancy through fourteen years of age at 2 locations in Dracut.

In October 2019, Erica Jussaume retired, and Maura Sheehy Costello assumed sole ownership, continuing the vision they built together over 20 successful years.

At Creative Minds, we believe children learn best through hands-on experiences that encourage exploration, creativity, and confidence. Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where each child can grow at their own pace.

Our teaching team is made up of highly qualified, state-certified educators who are trained in CPR and first aid. We take great pride in our low teacher turnover rate, which reflects the supportive culture we foster and the strong relationships our teachers build with children and families.

We hope you will consider Creative Minds Early Learning Center when choosing your child’s care and early learning environment. We are confident you will feel supported, informed, and confident in your decision.
